DDL's Responsible Packaging Development Group | Sustainable Packaging

DDL's Responsible Packaging Development Group was created in 2011 to help advise and guide consumer product companies in designing packaging that's responsible to the environment, economies and to people. The primary goal of DDL's RPDG is to proactively consult with companies that are working on sustainable packaging initiatives, to ensure that all facets of the packaging design have been considered. This includes; material selection or reduction, storage environment, the distribution environment and package re-usability. When all factors of designing responsible packaging are initially considered, companies can mitigate any unintended consequences that poor packaging design may cause, including increased cost, greater harm on the environment, product failure or in a worst case scenario, harm to the product's end user.
