Project Management

Natalie Finazzo
DDL Project Manager

"DDL is staffed by professionals that know how to take care of the customer. They are very accommodating even though our schedule most times is not very convenient. They succeed at getting projects completed in a timely manner."
Liz Nelson
Pioneer Surgical Technology

DDL takes pride in its superior customer consultation and fast turn-around time when it comes to project management.

DDL project managers work closely with the customer, from the initial quotation to closing out the project with final documentation, technical and quality reviews, and return or disposal of the test specimens.

It is the project manager’s role to consult with the customer over package, product and material testing requirements to ensure that a testing project can be closed out within the given time frame.

At the beginning of the project, DDL consults with the customer to determine and confirm:

  • Project Scope
  • Protocol
  • Test Sequences
  • Applicable Industry Standards
  • Types of Testing Services
  • Sample Size
  • Labeling Requirements
  • Disposition of Specimens Before & After Testing

Project Example – Package Validation
A package validation typically takes between 3 and 6 months to complete depending on the types of testing services that are performed.  For example, DDL is able to perform package integrity testing and distribution simulation each over a two day period.  Testing services such as accelerated aging testing significantly lengthen the validation process.  A package that requires a 3-year accelerated aging test at 55 degrees C will require 120 days of validation time at a minimum.

PackReview
PackReview is a DDL approved ISO 11607 certification granted to packages that have endured rigorous package testing to demonstrate compliance with the new ISO 11607-01; Part 1, Clause 6.

PackReview projects typically take 3-6 months to be completed as the following testing services must be performed:

DDL recommends that you submit your PackReview project 6 months in advance of required validation.
